Subject: Free Expression on University Campuses

The topic of free expression has received a great deal of attention lately among university faculty, students, staff, and presidents around the country. Like many university presidents, I have been asked to make remarks about this in various venues. Last week, for example, I gave an address on the topic at Colgate University. A number of people have asked for a copy of this address, which was entitled "Free Expression on University Campuses: The Chicago Principles." You can find the address at the following page on our website: https://president.uchicago.edu/page/address-colgate-university/. There is other material relevant to this issue at http://freeexpression.uchicago.edu/.
