The University of Chicago campus community is invited to the second annual Blues Bowl football game on Saturday, October 4, at noon. Come out to Stagg Field to watch the Maroons take on Rhodes College. The annual Blues Bowl was created to celebrate the musical tradition that both Chicago and Memphis are known for as well as the rivarly between UChicago and Rhodes. The winning team will take home the traveling guitar trophy.
The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free pair of sunglasses to help channel their inner Blues Brother.
At halftime of the game, UChicago will recognize and honor its two NCAA national champions from the 2013-14 academic year. Michael Bennett (Track & Field) and Abby Erdmann (Swimming & Diving) will both receive their championship rings during the presentation.
