The UChicago App Challenge is a joint venture between IT Services and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and is a search for ideas that target an unmet need or opportunity in everyday life (at work, in research, at home, or elsewhere) or research projects that might benefit from an app, a website, or cognitive computing. IT Services will translate that idea or observation into a mobile app, a great website, or something else. Ten thousand dollars in prizes is available for teams that make it to the New Venture Challenge in May.
Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are all eligible to submit their ideas for development each quarter, and the winter cohort deadline is December 4. More detailed information about how the App Challenge works is available on the website, or questions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
