Resources for Sexual Violence Prevention (RSVP) will engage in several events as part of Sex Week 2013, a collection of 36 events organized by students on topics ranging from abstinence and religion, intimacy, consent, contraception, fetish and more.
- At 8 p.m. on Monday, February 11, RSVP's Peer Educators will present on rape culture at Harper 140.
- At 4 p.m. on Friday, February 15, RSVP Director Vickie Sides will speak on a panel called 'Consent For All Flavors' at the Logan Arts Center. The panel is designed to be inclusive of lesbian/gay/aseual/poly-amorous and other representations.
- On Friday, February 14, RSVP will also participate in One Billion Rising. One Billion Rising is an international effort to raise awareness of sexual assault. The event will include music, dancing, educational information and resources about sexual assault and options for survivors. RSVP Peer Educators will be on hand to distribute information and answer any questions attendees may have. More information will be provided.
