Saturday’s MLK Day of Service events full, other volunteer opportunities available

January 16, 2013

There was record-setting interest in the University Community Service Center's annual MLK Day of Service this year, and all 200 volunteer opportunities for Saturday, January 19, have been filled. However, the UCSC event is part of a national effort, and anyone interested in volunteering for the national MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 21, can find opportunities through the national website: mlkday.gov/serve/index.php. Search with zip code 60637 to find opportunities in the communities surrounding campus or 'Chicago' to locate opportunities throughout the city.
