A strong winter season landed the University of Chicago in seventh place in the 2025-26 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings, as released by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.

UChicago has finished in the top 20 in the Learfield Directors' Cup for ten consecutive years, dating back to the 2013-14 season. The Maroons brought home their fourth top-10 finish in program history and their sixth consecutive top-12 finish in 2024-25. Their ninth-place finish was tied for the third-best finish in program history.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in the NCAA Championships.
