Summer Links Builds Cohort of Civic-Minded Students to Effect Social Change in Chicago

Summer Links educates students about social justice issues—teaching methods for catalyzing social change through direct service, community organizing, advocacy and activism, public policy, and research and evaluation. This year’s cohort of 30 College students was selected from a pool of 112 and came from diverse backgrounds.

Highway Closure During Convocation - Information for Driving to Hyde Park

A major part of the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) in downtown Chicago will be closed during Convocation weekend for a bridge demolition. Officials expect severe traffic disruption and have urged drivers to stay clear of I-90/94 by using alternative routes.

New 53rd Street Shuttle Route Starting April 7

Beginning April 7, the 53rd Street Express Shuttle will have an updated route based on ridership feedback. The shuttle may be tracked with TransLoc, which provides live GPS tracking of all University shuttles.
