There will be a community safety meeting on Monday, May 27 at 6 p.m., to provide an opportunity for students to discuss questions and concerns about neighborhood safety with representatives from the University and Chicago Police departments and Campus and Student Life.

Award-winning journalist and CNN Special Correspondent Soledad O’Brien, a Kovler Visiting Fellow who has focused her career on telling untold and important stories, will deliver a keynote address at Rockefeller Chapel at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28.

The UChicago Clothesline Project t-shorts will be displayed May 27 - May 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hutchinson Courtyard. T-shirt creation sessions take place May 17 and 21.
Summer Breeze 2013: Carnival on the Quad and MAB evening concert

On Saturday, May 18, students can partake in Summer Breeze, an annual tradition on campus. This year's event includes a Carnival on the Main Quads during the day and a large scale Concert in the evening in Hutchinson Courtyard.
Ingleside Post Office closes; alternate postal options available

The United States Post Office branch in Ingleside Hall has closed effective immediately. The USPS had planned to close the branch at 956 E. 58th Street in June, but a computer problem was a factor in the decision to close the station ahead of schedule.

But we need to be clear: many of those postings are hurtful, ugly, irresponsible, and harmful to the very spirit of free expression the page pretends to promote.

New Graduate Student Innovation Grant fuels creative ideas
