Over the next few weeks, the University of Chicago will be transitioning campus bookstore operations to Follett Higher Education, the largest campus retailer in North America.
The UChicago Bookstore will continue to provide support and resources necessary for students to have successful academic careers. Under Follett, students can expect more affordable access to course materials, new technology and apparel, and an enhanced experience with both the online store and in-person locations.
To complete the transition to Follett, the Chicago Booth Bookstore at the Gleacher Center will close on June 18 and reopen July 1. The UChicago Bookstore, located on the Hyde Park campus, will close on July 3 and reopen on July 15.
The existing bookstore websites for the Gleacher Center and Hyde Park locations will redirect to the new online bookstores on July 1 and July 15, respectively.
We are thankful to Barnes and Noble for their services over the last 29 years as our campus bookstore operator, and we are excited for the opportunity to build upon their success with Follett’s new innovative concepts.
