Vice Provost Melissa Gilliam announced two new calls for proposals designed to further the inclusiveness of the campus environment and to promote stronger connections between the University and its surrounding communities.
Inclusive Climate RFP: Program grants will be offered at multiple funding levels, with priority going to proposals that support the aims of the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative and promote fuller participation of the University’s members in the academic, professional, and co-curricular life of the University. Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded. More information is available in the full call for proposals, where you will also find a list of suggested ideas to spark your thinking.
Community Engagement RFP: Our local Chicago community is one of UChicago’s most important partners. Together with the Office of Civic Engagement; the Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture; and the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation, we invite applications for community-engaged research and programs. This request for proposals supports research and activities to be conducted with members of our local community. Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded. More information and instructions for application can be found here.
All members of the UChicago community are invited to submit proposals. Applications can be found online at the University of Chicago Funding Portal. Submissions are due at 11:59pm on Friday, November 2, 2018.
