All Campus and Student Life events, programs, and services will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, December 1. Please see the list below for specific information. CSL administrative offices will also be open for normal business hours.
- Student Health and Counseling will remain closed on Monday, November 30, and all appointments have been cancelled. SHCS will resume normal operations on Tuesday, December 1, and all scheduled appointments will take place as scheduled.
- The University of Chicago Medical Center remains open to patients, with added security measures.
- Students seeking medical advice may call the Nurse advice line: (773) 702-1915.
- Students with urgent counseling questions may also contact the Therapist on Call (773-702-3625) to speak with a clinician.
- Students experiencing medical emergencies should go to the UCMC Emergency Room located at 5841 S. Maryland Ave.
- Students experiencing psychiatric emergencies should also go to the UCMC Emergency Room.
- Students who had appointments at SHS or SCS on November 30 will be contacted by their providers to reschedule.
- For residents of Burton Judson and Granville-Grossman, the Cathey Dining Commons will be open for dinner on Monday, November 30.
- All other dining facilities will remain closed on Monday, November 30, and dinner will be delivered to all other residence halls.
- Bartlett Dining Commons, Cathey Dining Commons, and all other campus markets and cafés will open on Tuesday, December 1, at their regularly scheduled times.
- Fourth Meal will resume on Tuesday, December 1.
- Residents of College Housing should speak to their resident heads for additional information on UChicago Dining options.
Campus programs and events
- All campus activities and programs, including events at Rockefeller Chapel, International House, and Reynolds Club, are cancelled for Monday, November 30, and will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, December 1.
- The University Bookstore will be closed on Monday, November 30, and will open as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, December 1.
Athletics and recreation
Ratner and Henry Crown will remain closed on Monday, November 30, and will open as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, December 1. All varsity and club practices, intramural activities, and fitness classes are cancelled for Monday, November 30, and will resume Tuesday, December 1.
