Message of support for students affected by Hurricane Sandy

October 30, 2012

Dear students,

We are closely monitoring Hurricane Sandy, a powerful storm that has already caused destruction in the Caribbean and is expected to hit the East Coast later today and tomorrow. This storm remains unpredictable because it is set to mix with an early winter storm from the west and artic air from the north. We are aware that you might have loved ones in the area and wanted to reach out to offer you our support.

Campus and Student Life offices can provide resources and services for those who have been affected or have loved ones affected by this storm. Students may contact their area Deans of Students, Student Counseling Services, 773-702-9800, or the Dean-on-Call program, 834-HELP. The Dean-on-Call is available 24 hours a day to help answer student questions, assist in finding emotional support or addressing academic or financial obligations in times of crisis.
