UChicago will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and reflect on our collective responsibility to work toward a more equitable society at the MLK Commmemoration Celebration. This year's keynote speaker is Bryan Stevenson, executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative and author of Just Mercy.

This event is free and open to the public.  The doors will open at 5:00pm, and the program starts at 6:00pm.  American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be available. A community reception will be held in Ida Noyes Hall immediately following the celebration.
