NASPA recognized Health Promotion and Wellness's Peer Health Advocates (PHA) as a 2018 NASPA Outstanding Peer Education Group. The Outstanding Peer Education Group awards are given to peer education groups that contribute to campus peer education efforts and demonstrate academic successes and leadership. The PHAs were recognized for their exemplary work with peer education at NASPA's annual awards banquet.
PHAs are committed to supporting their fellow studnets and empowering them to make healthy choices. They do this by connecting them to campus resources and offering education related to a variety of health and wellness topics.
