The 53rd Street Express Shuttle provides transportation to and from the new Harper Court building at the corner of 53rd Street and Lake Park Avenue. Service begins Monday, November 4. The shuttle operate Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for University holidays. The shuttle begins at Ellis Garage at 7 a.m. and travels counter-clockwise around the route. This is an express shuttle and will only pick-up and drop-off passengers at the designated stops. See the 53rd Street Express Shuttle map for designated stops. This shuttle is free of charge to all University students, faculty, other academic personnel, staff, and University of Chicago Medicine staff. Transportation & Parking Services is piloting a new system to capture ridership data and verify campus affiliation. Riders of the 53rd Street Express Shuttle are required to tap their ID card on a card reader located to the right of the door as you board the shuttle
