RISE Faculty Lecture: A Deeper Diversity with Adam Green- April 15

April 14, 2014

In the inaugural lecture for the new annual RISE Faculty Lecture on Diversity and Excellence, Professor Adam Green makes the case for understanding diversity - the premise that our civil society should be founded on pluralism, respect, and access - as a trans-formative creed derived from traditions of struggle and an intentioned sense of equity. Drawing on personal experience as well as scholarship, Green examines the ways that diversity has been understood in the past and how it is regarded today - a time of unprecedented correspondence as well as deeply disconcerting disparity and inequalities. This event takes place on Tuesday, April 15, 5:30-7:00pm at Mandel Hall.

Join an informal discussion in the Reynolds Club following the lecture. Pizza and refreshments available during the discussion period.
