Zhou B Art Center Exhibit - Oct.16

October 9, 2015

The Zhou B Art Center in Bridgeport is hosting a free public exhibit on Friday, October 16, 7–10 p.m., that will feature paintings by 40 first-year students and 11 student leaders depicting their wishes for social change in Chicago. Students drew inspiration for the paintings from their experiences with the University Community Service Center’s Chicago Bound program, an eight-day student-led pre-orientation program held in partnership with the Institute of Politics that promotes community awareness and civic engagement. During Chicago Bound, students participated in the Thousand Wish Project, an ongoing interactive visual workshop that encourages individuals to explore, articulate, and give shape to a latent wish or desire using creative mediums. The workshop was facilitated by local Korean-American artist InJung Oh at the Zhou B Art Center.
