Provost Ka Yee C. Lee and Executive Vice President of the University and Chief of Staff in the Office of the President Katie Callow-Wright wrote to outline the process to submit proof of receiving a booster shot or apply for an approved exemption.
Delayed Start of Winter Quarter

The University is delaying the start of Winter Quarter for most schools and divisions by one week—to January 10, 2022. Additionally, the University is moving to a remote-only instructional format for the first two weeks of the quarter.

In light of recent input from students and continued concerns regarding safety, UChicago’s Lyft Ride Smart program will remain available 7 days a week through the end of the calendar year. In addition, the program’s hours will be expanded to 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. starting today, Tuesday, November 23, through December 31, 2021.
