In the wake of the verdict of the Jason Van Dyke murder trial, Campus and Student Life will host a reflection event from 6:30–8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 5, at the Center for Identity + Inclusion so that students may join a facilitated discussion with University staff members or to simply have quiet reflection time. As a reminder, there are a variety of resources that students may turn to for support.

New UChicago student wellness center, and expanded health and counseling resources

Based on feedback from students and others across the University, we have made a number of enhancements to our services in recent years, including providing additional staff in Student Health and Counseling Services to meet the diverse needs of students, and offering innovative programs, such as telemedicine, Mental Health First Aid training, group therapy, hereditary cancer screenings, and drop-in counseling sessions through Let’s Talk.
